How to use Discord
When you sign in for the first time on Discord, you should see a prompt to get a guided tutorial through the features. Starting on the left, you`ll see a large plus button. This is how you start or join a conversation. This will open the server`s prompt, where you can create a new server, or join an existing one.
Each server is a broad chatroom that can host subgroups and private messages.
We`ll just skip the `create a server` for now.
Let’s see how you can join existing servers. Searching for a topic will show a variety of public servers. Let’s try joining Weed For A Good Deed server for example. You`ll need to request an invitation link before you can join it. Once approved, you can verify yourself in the ✅GET VERIFIED channel. Just go to the channel, and click on the `Start Verification` button. You will then be asked to complete some tasks (like picking an emoji for something, or choosing a certain picture). Once you finish the verification, you should be able to see all the channels in the Weed For A Good Deed server. Start exploring around! And don`t hesitate to ask questions on the server.
